From this point until I decide to change it, I will post a tribute to someone or something, pretty much at random.

Duran Duran

What would the world be like without Duran Duran? Probably basically the same as it is today, but a little sadder. The sensation that was Duran Duran came and went druing the decade known as the 80's. I wasn't alive for most of the 80's, but I found a relic of this period in my basement closet, my brother's cd. It was Duran Duran's compilation album of some of the greatest songs of the decade, and it is appropiately named "Decade."

For anyone who doesn't know Duran Duran, you are missing out. But you have probably heard a song by Duran Duran every now and again. Like if you were up late watching a James Bond marathon, you might have heard the theme to "A View to a Kill." By Duran Duran of course. Also, "Hungry Like the Wolf" is played often, and well it should be. There is even a music video for this song which ranked on a list of the greatest music videos of all time.

So, here is to you Duran Duran. I know you are out there somewhere, and I heard you had a comeback concert a while back. I just wish you could come back completely and rid this world of crappy pop music and get back to some good stuff.
