From this point until I decide to change it, I will post a tribute to someone or something, pretty much at random.

Gmail

Here is a tribute to Gmail. It deserves it, because it is a fantastic service. I don't mean to rub it in for those who don't have Gmail, but it is simply amazing.

The feature I especially like are the labels that you can apply to messages. It is like putting it in a folder for organization, but it is possible to add more than one label to a message. This is good for searching for messages, and just for good organization.

I also like that there is no little ad attached to outgoing messages. Hotmail adds something dumb like "Try MSN Messenger for Free." And they put a link on there. I don't want that on my email messages. But I guess that is what I get for not paying.

My point is that Gmail is a superior service even without the Gigabyte capacity. That is just a bonus. So, three cheers for Gmail.
