I don't usually give Air Conditioning much thought, it is a nice thing to have, but I have never really thought it that crucial. Maybe this is because I have always lived in Wisconsin, where when it gets hot it only stays that way for a day or so. Now I am in Virginia and it has been hot for about a week. The problem is usually nullified by the fact that I don't go out much, and AC usually silently takes care of me. But what happens when the AC doesn't do its job?
Saturday the Air Conditioning unit broke down. We got back to the house and it was really hot. Not unbearably hot, but good enough. So we have been living in this gradually increasing heat for the last three days, and let me tell you it can get uncomfortable. It isn't like me to whine a lot, and I know lots of people don't have Air Conditioning. The problem is my mind is expecting cool at night, and it is just hot.
So this tribute goes out to Air Conditioning, for all its work at keeping my comfortable. Also, those whole fruit bars are really good.
