So I am doing a project for my History of Business class. The topic I chose is the effect of the telegraph on business. It is obvious that the telegraph had an impact, as it sped up communication between businessmen by about 1000% (really bad estimate) The problem is, how do I find sources that discuss this in depth. I like the telegraph and all, but I just think that for the brief period in which it was useful should warrant more attention. I don't know what I'm talking about though.
The telegraph is good though, I saw a book today called "The Victorian Internet" which I am planning on checking out. It seems to make a comparison between the internet of today and the telegraph on the basis of communication. Sounds interesting, I hope I can get some business stuff out of it.
